Hi! I’m Michelle Ozan founder & CEO of Tech Desk. I am passionate about technology and helping business owners do more with less.
My interest in technology began at a young age. I enjoyed the pace and learned that I love solving problems. Eventually I found myself gravitating towards sales and helping business owners understand the importance of adopting technology to increase revenue and efficiency.
After spending many years in technology sales, I wanted to become a business owner once again. So, what did I do right after having a baby?!? I created a restaurant concept and built out a 164 seat space where I was chef and co-owner. I guess it’s true when my friends and family say I only go big or go home! Eventually, just like many restaurants before mine, I closed the doors. I will always be thankful for the “success” that many describe as a “failure”.
After my restaurant closed I started working as an account executive at a technology company. I was responsible for bringing an innovative POS system to market at a time when most didn’t see the need. I love a challenge, so I was all in. I was able to help others incorporate technology at a rapid pace and become more efficient. I helped to keep the doors open when COVID saw to it that many others would close. I learned the fundamentals and mechanics for POS, merchant services, online ordering, digital gift cards, digital loyalty and marketing programs, payroll, inventory systems, tableside ordering, waitlist and reservations systems, kitchen display screens, handheld ordering devices, IT, networking, online ordering & delivery apps, kiosks, and hundreds of technology integration partners which can be challenging to say the least. I am grateful for the knowledge I obtained.
As a business owner and technology pioneer I see a major gap. Companies are leaning on technology and devices now more than ever. Many lack the resources to navigate issues when they occur and onsite device management is almost impossible to stay on top of. Without technical staff members, or people with the time to handle issues, there’s a major strain on day to day operations.
